Champions for Conquering Rare Childhood Cancer

Thank you all for your continued support!

History

In 2003, Christopher Muth was diagnosed with a very rare vascular tumor known as kaposiform hemangioendothelioma. This cancer is an aggressive, malignant, tumor that destroys the bone and tissue. Christopher underwent chemotherapy for two years and responded extremely well to treatment. As of today, Christopher still receives MRIs every six months to make sure the cancer hasn't returned.

Christopher's case is especially unique in that doctors from the top cancer research hospitals in the country have treated few cases similar to his. There have been some cases seen in older children and some have been successfully treated. However, very little research has been conducted and few treatment regimes have been established, as the condition is a fairly recent diagnosis.

Rich and Bethanne Muth, together with several close friends, have initiated fund-raising to assist the research efforts concerning rare childhood cancers.
